Porto, located in the north of Portugal, is a very special city, where past and present merge with a harmony that surrounds and seduces you. Its elegant neighborhoods and stately villas coexist majestically with the narrow streets and old alleys that dot the city and that have led UNESCO to designate this wonderful destination as a World Heritage Site. The Casual Raízes hotel is located on Rua Santa Catarina, Porto's most important shopping street. This pedestrian street in the upper part of the city begins at Batalha Square, where the Church of Santo Ildefonso is located.
Moving through Santa Catarina you will find the Vía Catarina Shopping mall, near the Bolhao Market and very close to the beautiful “Chapel of Souls”, which is decorated with traditional Portuguese blue tiles.
The tour of Santa Catarina ends at the Plaza del Marqués de Pombal.
Rua Santa Catarina is dotted with shops, street stalls, restaurants and cafes, including the famous Café Majestic.
Our hotel has a terrace and some rooms with a balcony to enjoy the views of the most commercial street in Porto.
