The Casual Hotels hotel chain was awarded yesterday at the Hostelco 2018 Awards with the award for "Best Hotel Concept".

 

The award, which was presented at the National Art Museum of Catalonia in Barcelona, recognizes the Valencian hotel chain for its disruptive model, its unique way of understanding the hotel industry and its special treatment of customers, their families and their pets.

 

“From the company, we are very proud that our concept is recognized by the sector. Since our beginnings in 2013 we have always taken risks and we have opted to theme each of our spaces. In five years our chain has become an innovative hotel company”, said Juan Carlos Sanjuan, founder and CEO of the chain.

 

And he added: "We want to share this award with all our customers."

 

The jury for the Hostelco awards was made up of 12 prestigious professionals from the sector and was chaired by Michale Nowlis, former director of the Waldorf-Astoria New York and Beau-Rivage hotels in Lausanne, Switzerland.

 

Casual Hotels currently has 11 hotels under the umbrella concept of comfortable and innovative urban tourism, distributed between Madrid, Valencia, Malaga, Seville and Bilbao.

 

In addition, its expansion plan includes openings in Malaga, Valencia, Cádiz, Córdoba and San Sebastián throughout the years 2018- and 2019.

 

The company offers different included services to offer an easier way to travel. "The client is always at the center of our gaze and we are pleased to see our effort and daily willingness rewarded with this award," said Sanjuan.

Innovation is a maxim in the hotel chain, which is based in Valencia.

 

Casual Hotels invests in intelligent door opening systems, more agile and automated check-in and check-out, Smart TV and more efficient and less polluting heating and air conditioning systems. Guests have WIFI throughout the hotel and portable WIFI for the city.

 

Casual Hotels, which had a turnover of seven million euros in 2017 and grew by 67%, reinvests 10% of its income in its establishments each year.

 

In August 2016, Casual Hotels became the first Spanish chain to be entirely PetFriendly and has different rooms reserved for people traveling with their pets.
