April 21, 2023. Casual Hoteles , one of the best-known chains in our country for the theming of its establishments, wanted to pay tribute to Book Day, which will take place on April 23, by organizing a very special event at its most literary hotel: Casual de las Letras Sevilla .

This is a presentation that was created with the intention of being repeated every year on the same date, and that aims to promote new writers who are directly or indirectly related to Seville.

In this case, the chosen author has been María González Romero (1978) who, with the help of Plataforma Editorial, has just launched her first book: “Debajo de las palabras”, a work whose reading is transcendental to bring a little sanity, relaxation, Andalusian grace and coherence to an increasingly tense society.

The event, which will take place this afternoon at 6:30 p.m. at the Casual de las letras Sevilla hotel (C/ Alhondiga, 24 Sevilla), will include a presentation by the hotel director, Jesús Fernández, a speech by the author, a book signing and refreshments.

María González Romero, a character linked to Seville since childhood :

Although she was born in Madrid, Sevillian and Andalusian blood runs through her veins on all sides. That is why María González Romero has chosen Seville, and a few days before the great celebration of the Andalusian capital, to officially present her first book.

A work made with a lot of love and a great sense of humor, which aims to give practical tools to all those who are tired, like her, of verbal violence. It is an invitation to non-violent communication based on practical cases, which are a real injection of optimism, and whose fresh, direct and simple language is suitable for all audiences. Because if there is something that unites all humans, or should do so, it is communication.

María González Romero has a degree in Law from the Autonomous University of Madrid and is an expert in the Management of Foundations. After completing her studies, she worked as a lawyer and later took over the coordination of Felipe González's office for 9 years. In addition, she led the definition and launch of the Felipe González Foundation. Currently, after having trained at the Institute of Non-Violent Communication in Madrid and qualifying as a civil, family and commercial mediator, she works in skills training for companies and in mediation processes.

If your way of communicating sometimes alienates you from people, creates tension in you, or you can't find a way to express yourself in a clear and careful way, then perhaps this book is for you. The author tells us, in a simple, friendly, fun and deeply sincere way, how she discovered Nonviolent Communication and how her life improved when she decided to start integrating this model of communication into her daily life.
